I Just Quit Dreaming Today.

I guess time is my answer,
But I don't see it likely,
I'll never be the better man,
That I feel is inside me,
I won't be disappointed,
'Cos I can't say that I've tried,
But the friends I've had that knew me well,
Will surely be surprised,

They'll say,
Why have you given up on your dream,
Why did you throw it away,
And if I answer honestly,
I won't have a thing to say,
I just quit dreaming today,

Maybe I could blame something,
But who would it satisfy,
'Cos my life is going so well,
And nothing could justify,
So it's not within my sorrow,
That I've come to you to say,
It always comes down to reality,
So it's there that I've come to stay,

And you may say,
Why have you given up on your dream,
Why did you throw it away,
And if I answer honestly,
I won't have a thing to say,
I just quit dreaming today,

Has this world been cold to me,
Can I give it a second tho't,
Well my first was to captivate the world with my song,
This... was my second tho't,
Don't be down in my discouragement,
I didn't mean to step on your dreams,
And if you still believe in me,
Then it was well worth setting it free,

Altho' you will say,
Why have you given up on your dream,
Why did you throw it away,
And if I answer honestly,
I won't have a thing to say,

O', why would you do this to yourself,
I know you will make it someday,
But if I answer honestly,
I just quit dreaming today.
