You kiss me and call me your angel,
For the things I do for you,
You’re simply amazed at how I handle,
The things you just can’t do,

But there’s nothing amazing about me, baby,

I sat out in the sun,
Where I knew you liked to be,
I sat there wishing you,
Could be sitting there with me,
And feeling that you might,
Was enough to make me dream,
Close my eyes and come alive,
Feel the warm sun set me free,

I sat out in the rain,
Where I knew you liked to roam,
No stormy, darkened sky,
Could send you running home,
Just sitting in the rain,
Was enough to let me know,
Close my eyes and make it real,
Feel the water hold me close,

I sat out all alone,
Where I knew you’d not want me,
I sat there wanting you,
Pretending you could be,
And knowing that you couldn’t,
Was enough to make me scream,
Close my eyes and feel the pain,
Feel the lonely trapped in me.

No one they need,

I pray for the day,
When justice comes thru’,
When the media cares,
Like they say that they do,
When patriotism,
Is red, white and blue,
I pray for the day,

When people don’t purposely,
Bring others pain,
When we all come together,
With nothing to gain,
