I’ve been out in a war zone,
Where a grown man can come unglued,
I’ve never known,
A hero as brave as you,

I’ve seen the desperate surrender,
Of a man about to lose,
But I’ve never seen,
A soldier as tough as you,

You’re my hero,
Can’t you see,
You’re the truth within my dream,
You’re all I want,
Whenever I need… a hero,

I’ve fallen from the sky,
Landed on the dark side of the moon,
I’ve never met,
A trooper like you,

I’ve seen them chicken out,
I’ve seen them turn pale blue,
But I’ve never seen,
Them bounce as high as you,

And the world,
They like to call me a hero,
For standing tall in the face of doom,
