I heard you had a rotten day,
That everything went bad,
Your doggie went outside to play,
And never did come back,
You tho't it was an accident,
That he'd be back tonight,
But the note you found that he had left,
Said "you're no friend of mine",
Don't let it get you down,
Don't dig yourself a hole,
'Cos look who's here to cheer you up,
It's Smokey the Toad,

Yeah, Smokey the Toad is an easy going guy,
He can pick you up so much that you can almost fly,
You'll laugh so hard that you'll forget that you were gonna cry,
Yeah, Smokey the Toad knows how to make you smile,
Smokey the Toad is an easy going guy,

Maybe you've been busy lately,
Working all the time,
It's been so long since you've relaxed,
You think that it's a crime,
And you keep on pretending,
It doesn't bother you,
But all those lies are wasted time,
'Cos we all know the truth,
Don't let the world blind you,
Don't let them turn you cold,
Live your life in happiness,
Like Smokey the Toad,

Well, I heard you had a terrible day,
That everything went wrong,
You tried your best, but anyway,
Everything went wrong,
So maybe times do get rough,
And you lose some things you love,
But you won't have much at all,
If it's not what you want,
