The Fame and Fate of an Unknown Poet.
If I had to judge my character,
I'd say I'd fallen behind,
I'm useless with my broken dreams,
And wasteful with my time,
Every time I write a song for you,
I feel... well, I know it's wrong,
The words don't say a single thing,
I can't capture you in a song,
O', honey, I am sorry,
I can't give what you deserve,
But my love for you is so,
I can't put it into words,
I feel as if I need a punishment,
For the way I am with you,
I can say 'most anything,
But can't express my love, it's true,
Sometimes I feel a smarter man,
Is lurking inside my love,
It's almost a funny tho't I get,
To know that's not enough,
O', honey, I am sorry,
I can't give what you deserve,
But my love for you is so,
I can't put it into words,
Someday I'll sit down and write,
And find the words I'm after,
But 'til that day I'll hope that you,
Will say it doesn't matter,
So cry now for the unknown poet,
Who tho't that in the least,
His song would bring his love to tears,
To show there was a need,
O', honey, I am sorry,
I can't give what you deserve,
But my love for you is so,
