Then (She Cries).

She goes to work,
She puts on her smile,
She’s beautiful,
If only for a while,
O’, if she looks the part,
Maybe she’ll forget,
But for now, her beauty lies,
She isn’t happy yet,

O’, she’s beautiful, but,
She isn’t happy yet,

O’, just beyond her smile,
Lies her aching heart,
Swollen with her tears and broken pride,
She’s just a moment away,
From losing it all,
But it makes her feel safe now, just to hide,
So she hides,
‘Til she finds time alone, then,
She cries,

O’, when she finds time alone, then,
She cries,

O’, she comes home,
And loves her only child,
She’s so beautiful,
If only for a while,
O’, if her baby smiles,
Maybe she’ll forget,
But for now, she only tries,
She isn’t happy yet,
