The Girl On The Bus.

On a Greyhound headin’ east,
I saw her in a window seat,
So I sat down beside her,
Hoping we would meet,
But I guess she was basically shy,
And me being the same kind of guy,
Not one time did either of us,
Turn and tell the other “hi”,

If you told me this happened to you,
I’d probably say you were nuts,
But I’ll never forget the day that I,
Fell in love with the girl on the bus,

She looked so much like a queen,
Like somebody special to me,
At certain times I wished she was,
But I knew it couldn’t be,
‘Cos soon I’d be steppin’ off,
Any chances we had would be lost,
It’s not much to remember her by,
But it’s all that I’ve got,

If you told me this happened to you,

Maybe someday we will meet,
I won’t like her and she’ll hate me,
But as it stands, I’ll never forget,
The beauty I could see,
