Just Monday.
It’s Monday,
Hello, Monday,
Why do I rise,
It’s not sleep,
That I’m rubbing,
From my eyes,
It’s just salt,
From the tears,
That I’ve cried,
From the pain,
That she left,
I can’t hide,
O’, and she’s gone,
So far gone,
I can’t feel,
And her lack,
Of concern,
It won’t heal,
O’, and someday,
I’ll be better,
Wait and see,
But for now,
It’s just Monday,
And just me,
O’, now, Monday,
O’, Monday,
Don’t you know,
That I’ve got,
To get ready,
And go,
And I don’t,
Mind going,
On my own,
It just takes,
My fear and,
Drives it home,
O’, and she’s gone,
So far gone,
I can’t feel,
And her lack,
Of concern,
It won’t heal,
O’, and someday,
I’ll be better,
Wait and see,
But for now,

I like this one a lot! I like the short, quick lines of III. It's like being shot with a staple gun, quick and painful.

funny you should say so... i wrote it just like this and then contemplated moving it into longer, less lines, but it lost the slow stuttered rhythm of sadness... so I tho't. i remember sending this out to friends/family on the 'monday' i wrote it and getting back lots of "are you okay?" email... funny.
