There; on the outside,
I'm laughing like a clown,
I'm the life of the circus,
The one to be around,

Here; on the inside,
I'm all, but falling down,
Drunk in my sorrow,
Lost inside my frown,

Where you can’t get away,

One Year Gone.

One year gone,
The legend lives on,
And he will live forever,
For the things that he has done,

I was sorry when I heard the news,
I didn't know what to do,
So like a baby, like a spoiled, rotten child,
I got so mad I had to cry,
I got so mad I had to cry,

How long will this pain linger on,
And how long will God replace our saints,
With satisfaction for those of us who ain't,

I'm not one to see things wrong,
I do my best to get along,
But sometimes, a lot of things sometimes,
I don't want them to belong,

It's the disappointment that really doesn't belong,

I’m a single part of a broken man,
The part that wants to die,

With bits and pieces of you in my mind,
I subconsciously torture my soul,

When I knew you had treated me cold,

I want to shake steeples and hear the bells ring,
I want to hush babies and conquer your doubt,
I want to cure sadness and put fires out,
I want your bad times to go far away,
I want to help good times find you and stay,

I want to be everything to everyone,
I do not want only to…

I want to explain all things unknown,
I want to build cities, I want to make homes,
I want to climb mountains, I want to dig jewels,
I want to swim oceans, I want to fight duels,
There is no rest for a person like me,
If I want to be everything everyone needs,

Her Memory (In A Starbucks’ Café).

Adrift in her memory,
In a Starbucks’ Café,
I don’t wanna stay here, o’,
But I can’t get away,

We were there on Michigan,
At the Water Tower mall,
Hand in my pocket,
Close was nothing at all,

Outside the Hard Rock,
Rob Thomas cried,
‘I must be lonely’,
And then we died,

That was my life,

Traded my heart,
For a fraction there of,

And now,
Her memory, o’,
It’s not enough,

On a city sidewalk,
Near the river Seine,
We found the Eiffel Tower,
In the moonlit rain,

L’art du Louvre’,
The love in our hearts,
Mirror image opposites,
Looking quite the part,

Laughing in the bistro,
Freely finding our way,
The love of a lifetime,
Fell asleep on the train,

That was my life,

Felt her warm in Sedona,
Chill in San Francisco Bay,
Her dry eyes shined in Cairo,
