You Can Call Me Clark (Your Un-Superman).
I can save the world,
But can the world save me,
It’s hard to be un-super now,
When no one wants me to be,
I can love and I can cry,
And I can feel like you,
Everyone can see me fly,
But no one sees me true,
You can call me Clark,
If you truly can,
I would be so proud to be,
Your un-superman,
You can save my days,
In ordinary ways,
You can hold my hand so I won’t,
Need to be so brave,
I could win you away,
With my powers, it’s true,
O’, but I just want the power,
To put a crush on you,
I can jump and I can fly,
And I can win, I know,
But I want to know what it’s like,
To need someone to hold,
You can call me Clark,
If you truly can,
I would be so proud to be,
Your un-superman,

interesting view of an American icon... my only suggestion would be to add one final line... something like, "...but if you tell anyone about this, Lois, so help me, I will burn out your heart with my laser-vision!" haha.. j/k.
ReplyDeleteha! great suggestion! :p yeah... the whole idea was 'what do we miss in clark kent by focusing on superman?' maybe deep down he just wants to be loved as clark? Thanx again for the post!
