Life Continued.

Life Continued.

What do we do now,
Where do we go,
All of our questions,
Are answered you know,
Love is not lost,
Inside our tears,
Love is strengthened,
Forever lengthened,
Sixteen years,

Life continued,
Without regret,
We must find the courage,
Lest we forget,
Love is given in life,
Not taken in death,
Life continued,
Without regret,

How can we face it,
When will we see,
The sense of it all,
The comfort we need,
Do not forget,
The happiness shared,
The laughter unfolded,
Relationships molded,
The destiny dared,

Life continued,
Without regret,
We must find the courage,
Lest we forget,
Love is given in life,
Not taken in death,
Life continued,
Without regret,

Who do we turn to,
Why must we cry,
The love in your heart,
Will let you know why,
Rely on each other,
Remember the smiles,
Love so beholden,
Hearts so golden,
Will hurt you sometimes,

Life continued,
Without regret,
We must find the courage,
Lest we forget,
Love is given in life,
Not taken in death,
Life continued,
Without regret.

Into Her Window (Out Of Her Soul).

Unpublished Works, © 2010, BillyPauleyJr.*

Into Her Window (Out Of Her Soul).

Into her window,
Her mind would go,
A pane so telling,
Reflecting her so,
Time there before her,
Simple and slow,
Into her window,
Out of her soul,

Her heart cried loudly to get away,
With nowhere to go; she foolishly stayed,
The more she suffered; the less she cried,
Her peace was not death; she had already died,

Into her window,
Her mind would go,
A pane so telling,
Reflecting her so,
Time there before her,
Simple and slow,
Into her window,
Out of her soul,

Outwardly stable; inwardly crushed,
Her temper was silent inside her disgust,
The powerless vapor of her woeful tune,
Waned her defenses like a darkening moon,

Into her window,
Out of her soul,
Into her silence,
Empty and cold,

Into her window,
Her mind would go,
A pane so telling,
Reflecting her so,
Time there before her,
Simple and slow,
Into her window,
Out of her soul,

Into her window,
Lost and alone,
Into her window,
She made her home,
Into her window,
Out of her soul.

Ascending Love.

Ascending Love.

I cannot be with you tonight,
So this, I tho’t I’d send,
And may my love subdue your fright,
A love that will not end.

Free.

Unpublished Works, © 2005, BillyPauleyJr.*

Free.

I used to have a lonely heart,
But yesterday it died,
When I walked thru’ that wall of doubt,
There was no place to hide,
And unlike any fear I held,
There, to my surprise,
Love was waiting patiently,
On the other side,

O’, I’m free now from that wall of doubt,
Fear no longer keeps me out,
Only love surrounds me now,
No longer hidden by that wall of doubt,

I used to live in jeopardy,
Of losing all my dreams,
When I walked thru’ that wall of doubt,
I could plainly see,
A little faith was all it took,
To finally set me free,
And dreams I tho’t I’d never tell,
Were waiting there for me,

O’, I’m free now from that wall of doubt,
Fear no longer keeps me out,
Only love surrounds me now,
No longer hidden by that wall of doubt,

O’, doubt no longer towers,
Love now is my power,
My heart no longer sour,
In its garden, flowers,

O’, I’m free now from that wall of doubt,
Fear no longer keeps me out,
Only love surrounds me now,
No longer hidden by that wall of doubt,

O’, fear cannot build,
What faith can't bring down,
I’m free to love… so free from that wall of doubt.

Daytona Beach (Rainshine).

Unpublished Works, © 2010, BillyPauleyJr.*

Daytona Beach (Rainshine).

There she danced in silence,
The ocean was her sound,
The waves upon Daytona Beach,
Crashing all around,
Her hair flew in the breeze,
In tangent with her dress,
The rainshine came to hide her tears,
To settle her unrest,

Daytona Beach rainshine,
Put a smile beyond her tears,
Lifted hope within her heart,
Made the sadness disappear,
As Father Sky kissed Mother Earth,
Rain fell from a sunny sky,
She danced with them; outside her pain,
O', Daytona Beach rainshine,

The rainshine mixed emotions,
In the colours of local art,
A beauty fell upon her,
On the canvas in her heart,
The tide bro't her a gift of hope,
Laid a sand dollar at her feet,
A worldly wish upon her,
To know her life is sweet,

Daytona Beach rainshine,
Put a smile beyond her tears,
Lifted hope within her heart,
Made the sadness disappear,
As Father Sky kissed Mother Earth,
Rain fell from a sunny sky,
She danced with them; outside her pain,
O', Daytona Beach rainshine,

There she danced; so pretty,
Her passion was undressed,
The ocean sang its soothing song,
Daytona Beach caressed,
She danced in the healing rain,
That fell from a sunny sky,
There she claimed her happiness,
Her heart; her love; her life,

Daytona Beach rainshine,
Put a smile beyond her tears,
Lifted hope within her heart,
Made the sadness disappear,
As Father Sky kissed Mother Earth,
Rain fell from a sunny sky,
She danced with them; outside her pain,
O', Daytona Beach rainshine,

She danced beyond her tears and hurt,
Daytona Beach rainshine,
As Father Sky kissed Mother Earth,
Daytona Beach rainshine.

The Gulf of Mexico.

Unpublished Works, © 2000, BillyPauleyJr.*

The Gulf of Mexico.

I've got a fire in my heart,
And sand in my soul,
Where you are not,
On the Gulf of Mexico,
I walk along,
And look behind,
At your footprints gone,
Near the path of mine,

And, o'-o',
The Gulf of Mexico,
Is a beautiful place to go,
But it shows; when you're all alone,
And there's no way to know,
'Til you've walked it alone,
'Til the sun's gone cold,
O', o'-o',
The Gulf of Mexico,

There's a palm tree that stands,
In sand on the dune,
Where I fold my hands,
And howl at the moon,
I touch the sky,
And feel the stars,
I hope to fly,
To where you are,

And, o'-o',
The Gulf of Mexico,
Is a beautiful place to go,
But it shows; when you're all alone,
And there's no way to know,
'Til you've walked it alone,
'Til the sun's gone cold,
O', o'-o',
The Gulf of Mexico,

I've got an ocean of love,
Like the tide coming in,
It's more than enough,
To fill you again,
Someday soon,
I hope I won't even know,
What it's like without you,
On the Gulf of Mexico,

And, o'-o',
The Gulf of Mexico,
Is a beautiful place to go,
But it shows; when you're all alone,
And there's no way to know,
'Til you've walked it alone,
'Til the sun's gone cold,
O', o'-o',
The Gulf of Mexico,

And, o'-o',
I don't wanna go,
Without you,
On the Gulf of Mexico.

1981.

Unpublished Works, © 1982, BillyPauleyJr.*

1981.

It was 1981,
I had nothing else to do,
There was a future in the sun,
I was watching my dreams come true,
I was laughing out loud,
I was on the edge of every night,
When it all came crashing down,
When my brother lost his life,

O', so much... so gone,
There was nothing I could do,
O', so young... so wrong,
It tore my life in two,
O', so much... so gone,
So young... so wrong,
O', so much... so gone,
So very young,
In 1981,

O', in 1981,
I had a love that was so true,
But it all came so undone,
There was nothing I could do,
We were happy; I was proud,
'Til my world came crashing down,
Our dreams; all our vows,
In fallen hearts upon the ground,
O', so much... so gone,
There was nothing I could do,

O', so young... so wrong,
It tore my life in two,
O', so much... so gone,
So young... so wrong,
O', so much... so gone,
So very young,
In 1981,

It was 1981,
I had nothing left to do,
With no future and no sun,
My dreams would not come true,
It was final; it was sad,
On the edge of no return,
There was nothing left for love,
And nothing left to learn,

O', so much... so gone,
There was nothing I could do,
O', so young... so wrong,
It tore my life in two,
O', so much... so gone,
So young... so wrong,
O', so much... so gone,
So very young,
In 1981,

Yeah, so much... so gone,
So young... so wrong,
How can I... go on,
With so much... so gone,
O', how can I go on,
So much... so gone.
