If I Could Have A Moment.

O’, it’s been such a long, long time,
Since I’ve sat in the park to watch the children play,
And it’s been such a long, long time,
Since I’ve seen the end of a quiet day,
Like the moon coming up on the horizon,
Spilling romance on the world below,
O’, I only pause long enough to say,
I’m running so late and I’ve got to go,

But if I could have a moment,
To spend it as I please,
I would do anything my dear,
If only you would spend it with me,

Well, it’s been such a long, long time,
Since I’ve had a day I could call my own,

Since I’ve talked real long on the telephone,
Like a sweet talking conversation,
With a pretty little lady like you,

I can’t call you now, but I will when I do,

But if I could have a moment,
To spend it as I please,

If only you would spend it with me,
