Invention’s By Happen Chance.

Caveman Balzor was trapped on a hill,
His need for survival was much more than real,
So he found a round stone,
And rode all the way home,
Thus becoming the inventor of the wheel,
In the evening when the hoppy toads were croakin’,
The news of his experience was broken,
When his sounds got attention,
He had a second invention,
For now a language of man had been spoken,
The next day he tried something new,
He invented the first pair of shoes,
Tying stones to his feet,
He ran down the street,
And invented fire when all the sparks flew,
Balzor’s life was far too much tension,
Tho’ his creations were all good intentions,
One day while inventing the box,
He was killed by some rocks,
Thus making the coffin his last of inventions.

You’re like a chance to live my life over again,

I have been to the edge,
I have walked thru’ the fire,
I have lived on no more than air,
I have lost my way,
I have forgotten desire,
Tell me, o’, girl, have you been there?

Where sanity leaves,
Where love often falters,
Where hearts go to bleed,
Where desperate emotions meet in despair,

I have fell in the ocean,
I have sunk in the sea,
I have drifted away without care,
I have roared in the wind,
I have been to my knees,

Unintended Consequence (My Happy Life).

I am so happy with my life,
Altho’ I know it’s true,
It’s an unintended consequence,
Of falling in love with you,
I love you, my days get brighter,
In my worries the load is lighter,
I love you, my laughter resounds,
In your heart I know it bounds,
I love you, time starts to heal me,
In your soul my words reveal me,
I love you, my heart stops aching,
In my memory no longer breaking,
Yes, I am so happy with my life,
Altho’ I must tell you it’s true,
It’s an unintended consequence,
Of falling in love with you.

Liberty.

O’, hail to thee, great Liberty,
What, in you, does your country see,
Is it in your torch in which you hold,
That makes your country brave and bold,
Could it be in your mighty crown,
With thorns of safety, which many have found,
Is it in your book that you hold so dear,
That makes your country afraid to fear,
Or is it in your robe so long,
That makes your country want to be strong,
Is it because you stand not only on stones beneath,
But on your country’s own beliefs,
As your people grow wiser they will see,
It is not one, but all of these,
O’, hail to thee, great Liberty,
Life, in you, your country sees.

Tomorrow, The Forecast Is Rain.

I remember the first time you left me alone,
I cried and I tried to keep you at home,
I saw tears in your eyes as you pulled away,
And the blue sky, it turned to grey,

And the rain, it kept me all night long,
It comforted me while you were gone,
Now, it’s been years since you’ve been away,
But the sky, it keeps on raining,
I try, but it keeps on raining,

Some people say it’s a matter of time,
Others insist it’s all in my mind,
But the sky, it understands my pain,
That’s why it continues to rain,
Like the sky, I cry every day,

And the rain, it keeps me all night long,
It comforts me while you are gone,
Now, it’s been years since you’ve been away,
But the sky, it keeps on raining,
I try, but it keeps on raining,

They say the rain distorts what is true,
But it’s rained for years, since I lost you,
And the weather, they say, will surely change,
Yet tomorrow, the forecast is rain,
How much time must I give to my pain,

Pausal Note #3

Ten years ago today I woke up from a 3-day coma, a state I was in due to a high-speed car accident on the German autoban. It took me over a month 'til I could read & even longer 'til I could comprehend anything I read. When I finally got to that point, I tried to write again & finish my work I was currently in the middle of, but I was not able to concentrate or put creative tho'ts together on paper. It was as if my creative skills and my functional skills would not work together. "Frustration" ruled my days. I always found it ironic that the last words I wrote 'before' my accident were "...I blacked out." Finally, in November/December of 1999 I was able to snap the pieces together and finish my work.

So it is with tremendous pride and happiness that I will present to you that same work, my first published work; "Denny's Night?" on 09-02-09.
